New York’s legislative branch is an essential check on our Governor’s power. The lack of resources supplied to our overloaded unemployment system and the deadly rules forced on our nursing homes through this crisis are two examples of why the legislature must step in to represent and fight for the people of New York in this crisis.
Good representatives do the hard things when times get tough. Therefore, I call on the New York Senate and Assembly to return to session to take up essential matters, to get our economy moving safely, and to hold the Governor accountable for our unemployment system and nursing homes.
